Fees & policies

A clear beginning, with room to decide.

Start with a free conversation. Ask what you need to ask. If the fit feels right, book one 55-minute session at a time.

Appointment policies

Clear expectations protect the time and the relationship.

These policies apply to online appointments unless Jennifer agrees to something different with you in writing.

Cancellations and missed sessions

Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment. Changes with less than 24 hours’ notice and missed appointments may be charged the full scheduled fee. Jennifer considers late changes case by case, including emergencies and accessibility needs, so contact her as soon as you can.

Payment and receipts

Payment is made by e-transfer after each session. Jennifer can provide an electronic receipt after payment. Jubilee Cares does not direct bill insurers.

Hours and availability

Regular booking hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Currently accepting new clients. There is no wait-list. Limited flexibility outside these hours may be available by arrangement.

Online session platform

Regular counselling sessions are offered through Google Meet or phone. Access details are provided after confirmation. Join from a private space where you can speak comfortably; headphones and a reliable connection can help.

Appointment requests

Appointments are requested through Jubilee secure booking and require Jennifer's approval before they are confirmed. No payment is collected when you request a time. Online intake and informed-consent forms are completed before the first session.

Messages and reminders

Jubilee appointment updates can provide appointment updates and reminders by email or text according to the notification options used for your booking. Choose a channel that is safe for you, and tell Jennifer if messages should not mention counselling. Reminder messages are not an urgent-support channel.

Where you need to be

You must be physically located in British Columbia for each online session. Jennifer may confirm your current location and a callback number at the beginning of a virtual appointment so help can be directed appropriately if an emergency develops.

Travel and out-of-province sessions

If you will be outside British Columbia, contact Jennifer before the appointment. Do not assume the session can proceed while you are travelling. The appointment may need to be rescheduled or replaced with information about support where you are located.

Urgent and emergency support

Jubilee Cares is not a crisis or after-hours service, and email and booking messages are not monitored for emergencies. If there is immediate danger, call 911. In Canada, call or text 988 for suicide crisis support.

Common questions

The practical details matter too.

Do I need to know which counselling service I need?

No. The service pages are starting points. You can describe what is happening in your own words, and the consultation can help determine whether Jennifer’s scope and approach fit what you are looking for.

Where can I be during an online session?

You must be physically located in British Columbia and in a private place where you can speak comfortably. Headphones and a reliable internet connection can help.

Will my benefits cover the fee?

Jennifer's current designation is RTCc — Registered Therapeutic Counsellor-Candidate through ACCT. Jubilee Cares can provide an electronic receipt but does not direct bill. Confirm with your insurer whether your specific plan accepts that candidate designation and online sessions.

How do I pay?

Payment is made by e-transfer after each session. No payment is collected when you request an appointment through Jubilee secure booking.

What should I put in an email?

Keep ordinary email general because it may not be fully secure. You can simply say that you are interested in a consultation and share your preferred way to be contacted. Avoid detailed clinical or crisis information.

Is Jubilee Cares a crisis service?

No. If there is immediate danger, call 911. In Canada, call or text 988 for suicide crisis support. The resources page includes more options.
