Relationship recovery counselling

Find your footing after a toxic or abusive relationship

Make sense of what happened, rebuild trust in yourself, and practise boundaries without being told what you should do.

Service overview

What this can look like in everyday life.

The relationship may be over, almost over, or still part of your life. You might replay conversations, wonder whether you are being unfair, miss the person who hurt you, or feel embarrassed that the answer is not obvious. You do not have to explain it perfectly. We can begin with what is happening now and help you hear your own perspective again.

If you are in immediate danger, call 911. Counselling is not a substitute for emergency or legal support.

This may fit if…

Some of this feels familiar.

  • You reread messages or replay arguments and still doubt what happened
  • You feel relief, grief, anger, guilt, or loneliness—sometimes in the same day
  • You know a boundary is needed but keep getting pulled into explaining it
  • You want to care about someone without carrying everything for them

Sessions may explore

What Jennifer and you can work on together.

  • Naming the pattern without turning your reactions into a character flaw
  • Preparing words, limits, and an exit plan for difficult conversations
  • Reconnecting with your preferences, values, and trusted support
  • Making one next choice without needing certainty about the whole future

Common questions

Useful details before you begin.

How do I know whether relationship recovery is the right starting point?

You do not need to be certain. Choose the page that feels closest to what is happening now. A free consultation gives you space to describe the situation, ask questions, and decide whether Jennifer's experience and approach fit your needs.

What happens in an online session?

You join from a private location in British Columbia. A 55-minute session follows the concern that feels most useful that day. You can slow down, ask questions, and adjust the focus or pace as the work develops.

How much does counselling cost?

A 15-minute consultation is free. Individual online counselling sessions are 55 minutes and $89 CAD. Payment is made by e-transfer after each session. Jennifer can provide an electronic receipt, and Jubilee Cares does not direct bill. Less than 24 hours’ notice and missed appointments may be charged the full fee, with circumstances considered case by case.

See whether the fit feels right

A consultation is a conversation, not a commitment.

If relationship recovery feels close to what you are carrying, use the free consultation to ask questions and decide whether Jennifer's approach fits.
